Heartbreaking photos have emerged of a Florida woman whose weekend hike turned into a nightmare when she was fatally attacked by an alligator while swimming with her boyfriend.

Brittany Clark, 31, was seen smiling in a sleek red slip dress in one photo shared just months before the horrifying tragedy. Other images showed her enjoying life outdoors, including time on the water, painting the picture of a woman who loved adventure before her final outing ended in terror.

Clark was hiking with her boyfriend Sunday at Little Big Econ State Forest when the couple went for a swim in the Econlockhatchee River. What should have been a peaceful day in nature quickly became a fight for survival.

Authorities said a massive 12-foot alligator lunged from the water and attacked Clark while she was in only about three feet of water.

Her boyfriend, identified by the Daily Mail as Chance Allison, reportedly rushed into action and tried to pry her free from the gator’s jaws. He managed to free one of her arms, but the alligator immediately clamped down on the other.

The desperate rescue attempt turned even more terrifying when Allison was dragged underwater into what was described as a violent “death roll” as he tried to save her.

Haunting 911 audio captured the chaos after the attack, with Allison frantically trying to stop Clark’s catastrophic bleeding on the riverbank. During the call, he could be heard screaming that both of her arms had been severed.

Wildlife officials later tracked down the alligator involved in the attack. The animal was euthanized and decapitated, with its head kept as evidence in the investigation.

Clark’s social media pages suggested she had a deep love for the outdoors, with photos showing her on one adventure after another.

The shocking attack has left loved ones and the community reeling as officials continue to investigate the deadly encounter.

This is a developing story.
