JonBenét Ramsey’s name is trending again — this time over a viral TikTok conspiracy tying the slain child beauty queen to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. But her father, John Ramsey, says the claims are flat-out false and fueled by AI-generated nonsense.

The viral video making the rounds online claims JonBenét appears in the so-called “Epstein Files,” alleging she’s the young girl seen sitting on Epstein’s shoulders in a photo once displayed inside his New York residence. The clip also goes a step further, suggesting Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell attended JonBenét’s sixth birthday party.

The problem? None of it is true, according to John Ramsey.

Speaking to TMZ, Ramsey shut down the theory, calling it “absolutely false” and blaming artificial intelligence for fueling yet another cruel internet rumor. He said he hadn’t even seen the video before being asked about it but added that in the age of AI, “anything is possible.” Ramsey also noted that he’d long expected to be dragged into Epstein-related conspiracies eventually, calling online speculation “very cruel.”

The confusion appears to stem from a redacted image included in Epstein-related documents released by the Department of Justice. While the DOJ confirmed the image came from Epstein’s New York home, it does not identify the child in the photo — and there is no evidence whatsoever linking JonBenét Ramsey to Epstein.

Despite that, the visual similarity claimed by TikTok users was enough to send the conspiracy spiraling across social media.

JonBenét Ramsey was just six years old when she was found murdered in the basement of her family’s Boulder, Colorado home on December 26, 1996. She had been strangled, wrapped in a blanket, and left with duct tape over her mouth — a crime that shocked the nation and became one of the most infamous unsolved cases in American history.

At the time, Boulder police focused heavily on JonBenét’s parents. A grand jury voted to indict John and Patsy Ramsey in 1999, but prosecutors declined to pursue charges, citing insufficient evidence. The case remains unsolved nearly three decades later.

Now, as conspiracy theories once again pull JonBenét’s name into the spotlight, her father is making it clear: the Epstein claims are fiction — and another painful reminder of how far internet rumors can go.
