British Airways said it had cancelled all flights to and from Amman, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai and Tel Aviv “until later this month”, while services to and from Abu Dhabi have been suspended “until later this year”.
The airline has been operating a number of repatriation flights to help stranded passengers return home.
However, after its final repatriation flights from Muscat, Oman, to London Heathrow on 11 and 12 March, the service will be paused due to reduced demand, with the airline saying it will continue to keep the situation under constant review.
Meanwhile, Qatar Airways has confirmed that it will continue operating limited repatriation services to and from Hamad International Airport in Doha after temporary flight corridors were authorised by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority.
The airline stressed that these flights do not signal the resumption of regular commercial operations, although a number of flights to and from Doha have been scheduled over the coming days.
