Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov stated soldiers on its border would total up to the “direct, main and revealed participation of Nato members in the war versus Russia”.
And a Russian senator stated the bodies of British officers would “fertilise Crimean vineyards” if the UK adds to a peacekeeping force in Ukraine.
Mr Macron stated: “I understand President Putin well. If he’s responding like that, it’s since he understands what I stated holds true. He was most likely stimulated by the reality we’re exposing his video game.” Russia’s ambassador to the UK rejected Moscow was threatening Britain.
Andrei Kelin informed Sky News: “Russia does not threaten France or the UK. Here in the UK, they are excellent at developing hazards.”
