A guy bring a pistol and zip ties hijacked inside a Pennsylvania health center on Saturday, fatally shooting a reacting policeman and injuring 5 others before he was eliminated by cops, authorities stated.
The shooter went into UPMC Memorial Medical facility in York, Pennsylvania, on Saturday early morning and went straight to the extensive care system, where he took team member captive, York County District Lawyer Tim Barker stated in an interview. A nurse and custodian were both shot and injured, and a medical professional was grazed.
The suspect and cops exchanged shooting after he strolled into the corridor holding a female employee at gunpoint with her hands bound, Barker stated.
Andrew Duarte, a West York policeman, was eliminated by the shooter, authorities stated. 2 other officers were injured and remain in steady condition, as are the hurt nurse and custodian.

Pennsylvania Guv Josh Shapiro checked out the health center after the shooting and applauded Duarte and other officers for conserving more lives.
