A Kentucky male is dealing with battery charges after cops state he struck an officer a day after squandering his $167.3 million Powerball reward.

The event took place at the popular TradeWinds Resort in Pinellas County, Florida, on Tuesday night. The arrest affidavit states that James Farthing remained in a battle with another visitor when officers got here. As a deputy actioned in to break it up, the affidavit mentions Farthing kicked him in the face and attempted to run, Fox 35 Orlando reports.

He now deals with charges of battery on a police officer and withstanding arrest. Farthing’s sweetheart, Jacqueline Fightmaster, was likewise jailed for disorderly intoxication.

WLKY talked to Farthing about his Powerball payouts simply a day before the event. The 50-year-old stated he ‘d be splitting the reward with his mom, Linda Grizzle.
