Microsoft Italia, in partnership with Fondazione Mondo Digitale, announced a new free cybersecurity training initiative under the broader “Ambizione Italia per la Cybersecurity” program. The initiative aims to develop digital resilience by promoting cybersecurity awareness and skills among professionals, students, and citizens.
Since its launch in June 2022, the program has trained over 9,000 individuals. The new course offers short, accessible video modules covering password management, online risk awareness, and secure digital transactions, available via Fondazione Mondo Digitale’s platform.
The initiative comes amid a rise in global cyberattacks, impacting over 120 countries, as highlighted in Microsoft’s latest Digital Defense Report. The shift from data destruction to information theft and influence operations underscores the evolving threat landscape. Artificial intelligence is increasingly used by both attackers and defenders.
Tamara Zancan, Director of Cybersecurity, Compliance & Identity at Microsoft Italia, stressed the need for universal digital safety: “Cybersecurity is no longer just an IT issue—it concerns us all.”
Mirta Michilli, General Director of Fondazione Mondo Digitale, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment: “This is a holistic effort. Cybersecurity impacts everyone’s daily life.”
