Kneecap rap artist charged with horror offense by UK cops

A member of the Irish rap band Kneecap was charged with a terrorism offense for showing a flag in assistance of the Iran-backed group Hezbollah, British cops stated on Wednesday.

Liam O’Hanna, whose phase name is Mo Chara, revealed the flag throughout among the band’s programs in London in November, the Metropolitan Authorities stated in a declaration. The flag was apparently shown at the O2 Online Forum in Kentish Town, London, on 21 November in 2015.

It stated O’Hanna, 27, showed the flag “in such a method or in such situations regarding excite affordable suspicion that he is a fan of a proscribed company,” in this case determined as Hezbollah.

Kneecap’s ‘violent rhetoric’

The arrest follows guarantees of an authorities examination as an outcome of a video appearing where the band was seen screaming “up Hamas, up Hezbollah” and requiring the deaths of British Members of Parliament. “The just excellent Tory is a dead Tory,” a band member screamed to crowds, together with the need to “eliminate your regional MP.”

Political intimidation and abuse should have no location in our society. We acknowledge the chilling impact that harassment and intimidation of chosen agents can have on our democracy.”

The band later on excused their declarations on X.

” Let us be unquestionable: we do not, and have never ever, supported Hamas or Hezbollah,” they stated on X. “We condemn all attacks on civilians, constantly. It is never ever fine. We understand this more than anybody, offered our country’s history.”
