Iran has reportedly received a 15-point U.S. proposal aimed at securing a ceasefire in the ongoing conflict, according to two Pakistani officials.
The plan is said to include sanctions relief, civilian nuclear cooperation, limits on Iran’s nuclear programme, International Atomic Energy Agency monitoring, missile restrictions, and provisions linked to access through the Strait of Hormuz.
The diplomatic push comes as the conflict continues to escalate, alongside increased U.S. military deployments to the region and growing casualties.
A new AP-NORC poll also indicates rising public concern in the United States, with 59% of Americans saying military action against Iran has gone “too far,” even as many continue to support efforts to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.
