Guard opened fire on Thursday on an individual outside evictions of the CIA’s head office near Washington, DC, and after that took the suspect into custody, the intelligence firm stated.
A CIA representative stated security personnel “engaged an individual” outside the primary gates, and a source knowledgeable about the matter stated the suspect was a female.
According to a source, a female attempted to drive through the primary gate of the firm’s head office.
The representative decreased to state whether shooting struck the suspect or to reveal any other information of the event, other than to state the individual was now in custody.
Still uncertain why the guard opened fire
NBC News reported previously that the individual was shot, mentioning an individual with understanding of the matter.
It was not right away understood why gatekeeper opened fire or what the individual was doing at the time of the shooting.
The event happened around 4 a.m., a Fairfax authorities representative informed ABC News.
The CIA closed the primary gate at its Langley substance and directed workers to look for detours.
The shooting event followed 2 Israeli Embassy staffers were eliminated by an only shooter in downtown Washington on Wednesday night. There was no indicator the events were related.
