The Greek National Meteorological Service (EMY) has issued an emergency weather warning for Tuesday and Wednesday, predicting a significant temperature drop of up to 15 degrees Celsius, along with heavy rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall in mountainous and semi-mountainous areas.
According to the warning, northern winds of up to force 9 will affect the Aegean and eastern mainland from Tuesday afternoon until Wednesday night.
Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected to impact Thrace, Halkidiki, Thessaly, the Sporades islands, Evia, Fthiotida, and Viotia.Unmute
Locally intense snowfall is forecast for the mountainous and semi-mountainous regions of Macedonia, Thrace, Epirus, Thessaly, Evia, Evrytania, Fthiotida, and Viotia, as well as in the Peloponnese and the mountainous areas of Crete.
