Former Mister Universe Luis Antonio Vidal Butler is clinging to life after a terrifying medical emergency at his home — just hours after sharing a workout with fans.

The 57-year-old Spanish bodybuilding legend reportedly suffered a massive heart attack inside his residence in Cala Major, Palma, triggering a frantic race against time.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene shortly after 7 p.m., where they found Butler in full cardiac arrest. Paramedics fought for nearly 90 minutes to revive the former champion before finally stabilizing him enough for transport.

Sources say the drama unfolded rapidly. Butler’s partner called for help after he complained of chest tightness, began coughing, and then suddenly collapsed.

He was rushed to Son Espases Hospital, where he remains in intensive care in critical condition.

The shocking incident came just hours after Butler — known online as “PitbullButler” — posted footage of himself training, showing no obvious signs of distress.

Once crowned Mister Universe at the peak of his career, the Madrid-born strongman built a reputation as one of Spain’s most recognizable bodybuilding figures. He later reinvented himself as a fitness influencer and commentator, amassing more than 25,000 followers across social media.

The son of famed Spanish sports journalist Miguel Vidal Perello, Butler’s larger-than-life presence extended beyond the gym — with fans drawn to his outspoken takes on fitness, lifestyle, and politics.

As news of his condition spread, messages of support flooded social media.

“Get better soon my friend. You are a great person,” one supporter wrote.

Another added: “Sending you strength. God will help you through this.”

For now, the bodybuilding world is holding its breath as Butler fights for his life in a hospital bed — in a stunning twist that no one saw coming.
