The vessel exploded at the North River Wastewater Treatment Plant near West 138th Street around 10.30 am. The hurt individual is an employee on the barge. Another individual remains in the procedure of being saved, according to the Daily Mail.

The occurrence took place after methane fired up in a “breakdown,” however a fire was not begun, according to the outlet.

Rescue boats hurried to the scene to save a guy overboard and helicopters were observed flying over the vessel. The guy was pinned in between the dock and the boat.
