A guest bus skidded off a cliff in Sri Lanka’s tea-growing hill nation on Sunday, eliminating 21 individuals and hurting a minimum of 14, an authorities stated.
The mishap happened in the early hours of Sunday near the town of Kotmale, about 140km east of the capital Colombo in a mountainous location of main Sri Lanka, authorities stated.
Deputy transportation and highways minister Prasanna Gunasena informed the media that 21 individuals passed away in the mishap and 14 others were being dealt with in medical facilities.
Regional tv revealed the bus lying reversed at the bottom of a precipice while employees and others assisted eliminate hurt individuals from the debris.
The motorist was hurt and amongst those confessed to health center for treatment. At the time of the mishap, almost 50 individuals were taking a trip on the bus.
The bus was run by a state-run business, authorities stated.
