London police arrested 92 people on Saturday, during a demonstration in Trafalgar Square supporting ‘Palestine Action,’ a group previously designated as a proscribed organization in the UK, Anadolu reports.
Approximately 500 protesters staged a sit-in to challenge the ban on the group, which is known for targeting companies doing business with Israel.
Nearly two hours into the rally, the London Metropolitan Police intervened, physically removing protesters from the square and conducting searches.
The crowd included diverse groups, such as anti-Zionist Jewish organizations, Holocaust survivors’ families, and activists dressed in historical Suffragette attire.

The protest follows a complex legal battle regarding Palestine Action’s status. The group was banned in July 2025 following a protest at the Brize Norton Air Base.
While the UK High Court ruled the ban unlawful on February 13, the government was granted the right to appeal. Consequently, the Metropolitan Police confirmed they would continue to arrest individuals for ‘supporting a banned organization,’ a charge that carries a potential 14-year prison sentence.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, at least 738 Palestinians have been killed and 2,036 others injured in near-daily Israeli attacks in violation of the ceasefire in place since October 2025.
The ceasefire followed more than two years of a genocidal war that has killed over 72,000 Palestinians, wounded more than 172,000, and devastated about 90% of the enclave’s infrastructure.
