Reality TV stars Pol Atteu and Patrik Simpson are speaking out after a terrifying road rage encounter in Hollywood that they say left them genuinely fearing for their lives.

The married couple, who host the Amazon Prime series Gown and Out in Beverly Hills, said the frightening incident happened in broad daylight on Sunday morning, March 29, at the busy intersection of Melrose Avenue and Vine Street. What started as an ordinary drive quickly turned into what they described as one of the most horrifying moments they’ve ever experienced.

According to the couple, a man driving a Toyota 4Runner suddenly pulled in front of their Mercedes-Benz and stopped at an angle, blocking them in completely. With nowhere to go, they said they were trapped inside the car as the situation spiraled out of control.

“I don’t know if he knew who we were, I don’t know,” Atteu said. “I think it was very weird that this car comes right in front of us, parks diagonal, traps us, we can’t go anywhere and then just starts beating the car. I don’t get it.”

Video from inside the vehicle appears to show the driver jumping out of his SUV and storming toward their car. The footage then captures the man appearing to strike and kick the vehicle in a burst of rage that left the couple shaken.

“Terrifying road rage in the middle of L.A. at 9:20 in the morning,” Atteu told KTLA. “He hit the window so hard.”

Simpson said the attack unfolded so fast that panic set in almost instantly.

“I’m telling him, ‘Lock the car, lock the car,’ because we couldn’t move,” he said.

The couple said they had no interaction with the driver beforehand and were completely blindsided by the outburst. According to them, there was no warning, no argument, and no obvious reason for the aggression.

At one point, the fear became so intense that one of them believed the worst was about to happen.

“This is it, I’m going to die here,” he recalled thinking, adding that he had never experienced that level of fear before on the streets of Los Angeles.

After attacking the car, the man allegedly got back into his SUV and sped away. But the nightmare didn’t end there. The couple said they followed him while calling 911, hoping police could intervene before anyone else got hurt.

What they saw next only made the situation more disturbing.

“He ran every stop sign, every red light and drove so erratically,” Atteu said. “There were kids in the car. I thought, ‘You’re on something.’”

Now, Atteu and Simpson are sharing the video publicly in hopes of drawing attention to what they see as an alarming rise in violent and unpredictable behavior on Los Angeles roads.

As of now, it remains unclear whether the suspect has been identified or arrested.

For the couple, though, the emotional impact is already clear. What should have been a normal Sunday morning turned into a terrifying reminder of how quickly danger can erupt in the middle of a busy city street.
