Bryan Kohberger is reportedly stirring up so much drama behind bars that prison staff are begging to ship him off to another state — but Idaho officials say not so fast.
Sources told the Daily Mail that the 31-year-old, serving life for the shocking murders of four University of Idaho students, has become such a constant headache that the Idaho Department of Correction has been quietly asking other states if they’ll take him.
A retired homicide detective familiar with the case claimed guards have had enough. “They’re fed up with him,” he said, adding that officials have been “aggressively” exploring a transfer deal. Some insiders even predicted a move could happen within 30 days.
But Idaho officials insist none of it is true.
“The Idaho Department of Correction is not aware of the source of this information and is not considering a move for Bryan Kohberger,” the prison told RadarOnline.com.
Still, behind the scenes, the killer’s jailhouse behavior has reportedly been spiraling. Kohberger has supposedly been losing sleep and lashing out over taunts from other inmates, who yell through vents into his cell. According to one report, the constant heckling is “driving him crazy.”
He allegedly even fired off a handwritten complaint to Deputy Warden Dietz last year, demanding an immediate transfer to another block after claiming he was sexually harassed by another inmate.
Kohberger remains isolated in a single cell at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution, only allowed out for one hour a day — and even then, shackled.
Freshly unsealed court filings have also reignited the horror of his crime. Autopsy details suggest victim Xana Kernodle fought desperately for her life, enduring 67 stab wounds after reportedly encountering Kohberger while heading upstairs to investigate noises. Her half-eaten Jack in the Box meal was still sitting in the kitchen.
Investigators believe she ran back toward her room with Kohberger chasing behind her.
Reports also suggest he may have staged the bodies of Kaylee Goncalves and Madison Mogen after killing them, positioning the women together in their shared bed under a comforter.
Those chilling details surfaced before Kohberger entered his guilty plea to avoid the death penalty.
Even as Idaho denies any transfer plans, rumors continue swirling — and with Kohberger allegedly making life miserable for staff and inmates alike, speculation isn’t dying down anytime soon.
