The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Israel’s security agency (Shin Bet) reported on Thursday that two Hamas Nukhba terrorists in Khan Yunis who participated in the October 7 massacre and were working to rebuild the terrorist group’s capabilities and plan attacks against Israeli civilians and troops were killed
These Hamas members were identified as Razek Sahil Suleiman Abu Shahma and Hazem Mousa, who infiltrated the Re’im camp during the October 7, 2023 attack. Abu Shahma had also served as a bodyguard for the late Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, according to the Israeli military.
The IDF said the two Hamas operatives violated the ceasefire by planning and carrying out attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers and working to rebuild Hamas’ capabilities, prompting the strike to eliminate the threat they posed.
On Wednesday, the IDF said that it had struck and destroyed a Hamas position in the Jabalya area of the Gaza Strip on Tuesday. The military said the structure had been used as an ambush position by Hamas terrorists and as a storage site for several types of weapons.
This position was approximately 50 meters from the Yellow Line, according to the IDF. It was also located 70 meters from Kamal Adwan Hospital and 170 meters from a school, a positioning the IDF said was evidence of the terror group’s systematic practice of using civilian and humanitarian infrastructure for terrorist purposes, in violation of both international law and the ceasefire agreement.
