As Hezbollah launched 130 rockets into Israel on Wednesday and Thursday, the IDF responded in Lebanon, with two soldiers wounded in combat.

Magen David Adom reported that two different rocket strikes on Thursday caused injuries. In Kiryat Shmona, a building was hit, leaving a 34-year-old man and an 85-year-old man with light wounds.

In a separate incident in the northern town of Bi’ina, two men in their 30s and 40s were also lightly hurt after another rocket impact. In the north, Hezbollah launched a barrage of rockets that struck Nahariya, with Israeli media reporting that a kindergarten was hit. Emergency responders identified two other impact sites, while most of the incoming fire was intercepted.

Defense Minister Israel Katz warned Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem of severe consequences for continued attacks during Passover. Speaking after a situational assessment with IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir and other senior officers at the military’s underground command center known as “the pit,” beneath the Kiyra compound, Katz said Qassem would not live to see the “very heavy price” and would be “at the bottom of hell” alongside slain members of Iran and its proxy network.

The IDF said two soldiers were lightly wounded in southern Lebanon during a close-quarters engagement in which Israeli forces killed a Hezbollah terrorist. The incident occurred during a “targeted ground operation” conducted by the 162nd Division to reinforce Israel’s forward position.

Separately, Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis claimed responsibility for a ballistic missile attack, saying they had targeted “vital Israeli enemy targets” in the Tel Aviv area. The IDF said one missile launched from Yemen instead triggered sirens in Jerusalem and was intercepted. No injuries were reported.
